About Ronald Vaden

VADEN

Ronald J. Vaden is a longtime member of Malvern, his birthplace, and graduated from Malvern High School, class of 1971. He is a member of Greater New Hope Baptist Church, where he serves as Chairman of the Deacon Board. Ronald is a dedicated public servant with a proven track record of building stronger communities; he is also part of the Bryant’s Addition Cleanup Committee. Ronald Vaden has 20-plus years of experience in project management, specifically in oil, gas, and water process controls. He brings more than 40 years of experience in computer and electronic engineering. He also served as the project manager for the City of Dinuba, California, Public Works department, where he designed and programmed the communication control and distribution of fresh water for the city - a system he maintained and engineered for 20 years. Ronald Vaden believes in economic growth, more housing, and open doors for new businesses. He would like to see a more robust education system that improves children’s reading and comprehension skills at their grade levels. After 24 years of employment as a Communication Specialist/Engineer, Ronald will retire from the Union Pacific Railroad in June 2026. Ronald is also a Vietnam veteran who served six years in the U.S. Navy. He understands that commitment, dedication, and communication are vital to being an effective leader. Ronald lived away from Malvern for 28 years, traveling throughout the United States and abroad to work in engineering, design, programming, and teaching. Upon moving back, he noticed that little had changed in the city, and that realization sparked his desire to become involved in community leadership. He first ran for State Representative for District 29; though he was defeated, he learned valuable lessons and resolved not to give up. Ronald has always desired to run for Mayor of Malvern, and he believes now is the time to step off the sidelines, stop complaining, and get in the game to score big points for the city. Ronald Vaden does not believe in making promises until he fully understands how things are run and why. First, he needs to see what can be done and how the city can grow into something that the citizens of Malvern will be proud of. Ronald Vaden is fully ready and capable of taking on the role of Mayor of Malvern, Arkansas.

Our Beliefs

🏫

Education

We cannot have a strong city and economy with good-paying jobs without a solid education. We must improve our children's education from the ground up, or our future growth will be limited.

🏢

More Businesses

WE need a stronger business platform. We need to find ways to make Malvern more attractive to new businesses so they want to move into our city.

🏗️️

Housing Development

Businesses will not grow if we do not have enough places for new people to stay. Malvern is currently losing potential residents who work in the city to other cities. We need more suitable housing development to accommodate any new, larger companies that may want to set up business in our city.
